Despite winning both matches, coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang pointed out the problems that the Vietnamese women's futsal team needs to overcome. After the match with Hong Kong (China), coach Dinh Hoang said: "Today's match was really difficult for us. As you know, the first match is always a challenge.

The coaching staff and I are pleased with the efforts of the players. The team's efforts have been duly rewarded. Although there are still many areas for improvement, we thank the players for their efforts.

“In fact, the Vietnamese women's futsal team did not have the best rhythm at the beginning of each half. After the equalizer, we reminded the players to stay focused and improve their tactics to resolve the situation on the field.”

After the victory over the Philippine women's futsal team, coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang was more satisfied, saying: "The team entered the game better than the previous match. The team's spirit was also better. Our team controlled the game and from there had many advantageous situations."

There will be different situations at each point of the match. In the first half, we pressed higher, not giving the opponent much space to develop. In the second half, we increased our concentration and stability. I am very happy that the team won. It was the effort of all the athletes, you played with more than 100% of your strength."

In the final round of the group stage, the Vietnamese women's futsal team will meet Iran, in a match that will determine the top spot in Group B. The head coach of the Vietnamese women's futsal team said: "After each match, the coaching staff will analyze and evaluate to see what the team has done well and what is not so good, and will also analyze the Iranian team to have a reasonable strategy for the next match."

Coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang also informed about the situation of the team: "Currently, after the match, there are no serious injuries. Some players may be a bit overloaded, so the coaching staff will have a solution to help them get in the best shape for the next match."

This is the tournament where the Vietnamese women's futsal team aims for a ticket to the World Cup. Coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang and his team have completed their first task. The following will be an important task in the journey to win a ticket to the semi-finals. According to the regulations, the three teams with the best results in the tournament will win tickets to the World Cup, scheduled to be held in the Philippines in the near future. This will be an opportunity for the Vietnamese women's futsal team to make history. If we make it to the semi-finals, we will have a chance to compete for a ticket to the World Cup if we win a position from third place or higher.

In the near future, the Vietnamese women's futsal team will have the final match of the group stage. That is also an opportunity for our girls to evaluate their abilities against the strong teams of the continent. From that match, lessons will be drawn so that we can enter the quarter-finals with the best preparation. The final match of the group stage of the Vietnamese team will take place at 4:00 p.m. (Vietnam time) on May 11 at the Hohhot Sports Center (China).

Vietnam U19 women's team in easy group

On May 9, the Southeast Asian Football Federation (AFF) conducted the draw for the 2025 Southeast Asian U19 women's football tournament.

As a result, the U19 Vietnamese women's team is in Group A with Myanmar, Laos and Timor Leste. Group B is a race between 4 teams: Thailand, Indonesia, Cambodia and Malaysia.

According to the plan announced by AFF, the 2025 Southeast Asian Women's U19 Championship will take place from June 9 to June 18, 2025 in Ho Chi Minh City. Three stadiums will be used for the matches, including Thong Nhat Stadium, District 8 Stadium and Phu Tho Stadium.

Teams will compete in a round-robin format to determine rankings in each group. The top two teams in each group will advance to the semi-finals, followed by the final and third-place matches.

Since its first event in 2014, the tournament has become an important playground for young women's football in the region.

In this arena, the Vietnam U19 women's team has participated in the finals three times in a row in 2014, 2022 and 2023, but has yet to lift the championship trophy as they finished as runners-up.

To prepare for this year's Southeast Asian U19 Women's Championship, the Vietnam U19 Women's Team will officially gather and practice from May 12 at Thanh Long Sports Center (Binh Chanh District, Ho Chi Minh City).

With home field advantage and attention and investment from VFF, the Vietnam U19 women's team has many advantages to aim for the highest goal. ( HH )
