Iraq team changed more than half of the lineup in the match against Vietnam

According to Winwin , the Iraqi team will change many positions in the starting lineup against Vietnam. This is an understandable action by coach Jesus Casas as Iraq is sure to continue as the top team. In goal, Jalal Hassan will not play. He is the number 1 goalkeeper under coach Jesus Casas. Hassan has only sat out 4 matches since the Spaniard took charge of Iraq in November 2022. Fahad Talib or Ahmed Basil will start against Vietnam.

The defence has the most changes. Mr Casas plans to leave out three players. First up is right-back Hussein Ali. He will make way for Allan Mohideen - a player who has performed well in recent training sessions.

Veteran centre-back Saad Natiq is out. He picked up a yellow card against Japan, so he will need to avoid picking up another card to make it to the knockout stages.

One of the two central defenders, Rebin Sulaka and Ali Adnan, will be out. They will alternate with Saad Natiq in the first two matches.

In midfield, Amir Al-Ammari plays the role of playmaker for the Iraqi team. Therefore, he will be rested. Ahmad Allee is a bright face to replace. In addition, Zidane Iqbal (former Man Utd player) is likely to start instead of Osama Rashid. Montader Madjed plays in the position of Ibrahim Bayesh.
