Over the past 50 years, the country has gone through many difficult and arduous journeys, with extremely challenging times when we had to fight at both the Southwest and Northern borders, and rebuild the country after the devastation of war and embargo. However, with the will to be self-reliant, the spirit of innovation and creativity, and the wholehearted help of international friends, we have overcome and risen to achieve the achievements and proud position we have today.

From being besieged and embargoed, in the spirit of wanting to be friends and partners for common prosperity with all countries in the world, Vietnam has now established diplomatic relations with 194 countries; including establishing comprehensive strategic partnerships with 12 countries, including most of the countries that are permanent members of the United Nations Security Council. Many countries that were once enemies have now become comprehensive strategic partners, cooperating closely in all fields to move towards a better future.

After 50 years of national reunification, Vietnam has not only marked its economic growth but also its position in the international arena ( Foreign relations: Elevating the position - Hoang Dinh). We are living in historic days, not only because of the heroic atmosphere of the 50th anniversary of the country's unification, but also because of the decisions that were implemented at lightning speed like the spirit of the Ho Chi Minh campaign that created the Great Spring Victory 50 years ago. That strengthens the belief that when the Party's will is in line with the people's will, when all decisions are directed towards the goal of people's happiness, Vietnam will certainly be famous in the new era.
