To spread the campaign, the People's Committee of Quang Ninh district has directed to promote propaganda to all people through training courses, conferences, community activities of villages, hamlets, and residential groups; propaganda in the activities of clubs in residential areas... Along with that, the People's Committee of the district has directed propaganda about the program "One commune, one product"; registration and development of OCOP products; the program "Identify Vietnamese products - Proud of Vietnamese products" to widely disseminate to all subjects the correct awareness of the quality of Vietnamese products and goods.
In addition to propaganda work, units and organizations have increased the organization of training courses on science and technology transfer, building economic development models; introducing to union members, members and people about value chain production, digital transformation in agriculture, and bringing products produced in the district to e-commerce trading floors.
Units and organizations have also guided union members and members in the registration process and building OCOP products; supported startups with dozens of creative ideas in production and business; promoted initiatives, improved techniques, improved productivity and product quality to create new products with suitable prices, meeting consumer demands.
Implementing the project "Developing the domestic market associated with the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods", in recent times, the District People's Committee has also had many support policies, creating favorable conditions for enterprises, cooperatives, and production and business households in the area to develop.
Quang Ninh district has issued a resolution on socio-economic development policies in 2024; accordingly, the District People's Committee supports each production and service establishment with 7 or more employees that operates effectively with 20 million VND/establishment; supports registration of labels, trademarks, and geographical indications of goods recognized by competent authorities with 25 million VND/product; supports 3-star OCOP products with 15 million VND/product, 4-star OCOP products with 20 million VND/product, 5-star products with 30 million VND/product, etc.
In public procurement activities, the district has also strengthened management, strictly controlled the procurement of public assets from the State budget; prioritized and encouraged units to use domestic goods when conducting public procurement. In appraising investment projects and selecting contractors, the district always prioritizes the use of domestically produced equipment and materials for public investment projects.
To protect consumers' rights, the District People's Committee has directed relevant agencies to promote information and propaganda work, strengthen state management of production, business, trade and service activities to combat the production and sale of counterfeit, fake and poor quality goods; focus on checking the sale at listed prices, contributing to stabilizing prices of goods, creating peace of mind for consumers. The district regularly monitors and grasps market developments, directs the establishment of distribution channels for goods in the area to serve people's needs.
Market management forces have inspected and handled violations related to: Displaying and selling counterfeit goods; not posting prices of goods at locations where prices must be posted according to the law...
Although the authorities have taken drastic measures, the situation of poor quality goods, counterfeit goods, goods that do not ensure food safety and hygiene... still exists in the market, affecting consumers, reducing the reputation of Vietnamese goods, and affecting the effectiveness of the campaign. |
Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Ninh District Le Thi Giang said: The campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" has attracted the attention of people in the district. Enterprises and production and business establishments pay more attention to product quality, design, and prices suitable to people's needs. Consumers are gradually becoming more aware and gradually changing their shopping habits to prioritize using Vietnamese goods, especially those produced in the province.
However, during the implementation process, the propaganda work of the Campaign was not regular at times and in some places. The awareness of a part of the people still preferred foreign goods due to lack of information and did not really believe in the quality of the products, especially the safety, hygiene, and durability of Vietnamese goods. Some businesses, circulation, and distribution of goods still pursued profits, did not pay attention to the origin and quality of goods to bring to the market, and did not care about protecting the rights of consumers...
In the coming time, the locality will continue to further promote the role of units, political-social organizations, and enterprises in propagating and mobilizing to raise awareness in the production and consumption of Vietnamese goods; encourage enterprises to invest, innovate equipment, produce high-quality products, diverse designs, reasonable prices, suitable for market demand and consumer needs. The district will increase support for enterprises, production and processing establishments in registering labels and brands; promote and introduce products in the district to the market; strengthen market management, ensure food safety and hygiene; strictly control promotional activities to protect domestically produced goods, creating healthy competition for Vietnamese goods in the market...
