Dong Hy: Implementing the arrangement of commune-level administrative units

On April 17, Dong Hy District Party Committee held the 52nd Party Executive Committee Conference, term 2020-2025, to give opinions on the Project on rearranging commune-level administrative units of Thai Nguyen province; deploying the tasks of the working group to rearrange and reorganize commune-level administrative units in the area.

Dong Hy District Party Committee gives comments on the Project to arrange commune-level administrative units.

According to the draft Project on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units in Thai Nguyen province, Dong Hy district will be reduced from 14 communes and towns to 6 communes and named as follows: Dong Hy, Quang Son, Trai Cau, Nam Hoa, Van Han, Van Lang. The arrangement, naming, and headquarters of the administrative units after the arrangement are carried out in accordance with regulations, in accordance with natural conditions, geographical location, historical traditions, culture, and ethnicity, and are widely supported by voters in the area.

Implementing the documents of the Central and Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee, Dong Hy district has established a Working Group to rearrange and reorganize commune-level administrative units in the area and directed communes and towns to collect public opinions. As of April 17, most localities in the district have basically completed preparations for collecting public opinions, to be carried out in 2 days (April 18 and 19).

At the conference, delegates discussed and gave their opinions on how to implement the consultation to ensure compliance with the plan. According to the review data, Dong Hy district will collect opinions from over 24,300 households.

Speaking at the conference, the Secretary of the Dong Hy District Party Committee requested localities to continue to promote propaganda to create consensus; collect opinions in accordance with regulations but need to be flexible and creative in terms of location and method; the synthesis of opinions needs to be fast, accurate and timely so that the district can report to the province before April 23 as planned.
