The Department of Construction of Dong Nai province has just added three more projects to the list of projects eligible for preferential loans from the VND120,000 billion credit program for social housing, worker housing, and apartment building renovation and reconstruction.
Three new projects were added including: Social Housing Apartment in Long Thanh Commune Residential Area, Social Housing Project on 1.4 ha land (Long Hung Ward) and Social Housing Apartment NXH2 - Block A, B (Phuoc Tan Ward).
Previously, Dong Nai had 5 projects announced as eligible for loans, including: Housing area for workers in Nhon Trach commune, Apartment building serving workers at Bau Xeo Industrial Park Service Center (Trang Bom), Social housing in Bao Vinh ward, Social housing A6-A7 (Tran Bien ward) and Hung Thinh Social housing area ( Binh Phuoc ward).
The announcement of the list of projects eligible for the VND120,000 billion credit package is the basis for banks to implement preferential loans for investors and home buyers, contributing to promoting the development of the social housing fund in the province.

Vice Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Ha said that the province is simultaneously implementing many measures to speed up the progress of social housing in the area. In addition to supporting investors to access preferential capital sources, Dong Nai also proactively shortens the time for processing procedures, especially in the stages of licensing, design approval, and project appraisal.
Last September, the Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee assigned 10 investors to implement projects with a scale of about 11,000 apartments and allowed 4 commercial housing projects to be combined with social housing investment, with a scale of about 6,000 apartments. The province's goal is to complete 65,000 apartments in the 2025-2030 period, exceeding the target assigned by the Government .
To facilitate businesses, the province proposed a "4 exemptions, 2 reductions" policy including exemption of land rent, project appraisal fees, construction licensing fees, input taxes; reduction of 30-50% of technical infrastructure connection fees and 50% of administrative procedure processing time.
At the same time, the province plans nearly 1,200 hectares of land specifically for social housing development in Dong Nai, concentrated in areas with good infrastructure and convenient traffic connections.
Vice Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Ha said that along with preferential policies, the province will also tighten management and develop sanctions to handle investors who are behind schedule or lack capacity.
The province will review and eliminate units that do not ensure capacity, to avoid prolonging projects and affecting people.
