Close open positions upon expiration of the COMEX Aluminum Futures Contract at MXV

MXV has issued a decision to close out its open position upon the expiration of the COMEX Aluminum Futures Contract.

On April 9, 2024, according to Decision No. 264/QD/TGĐ-MXV, the Vietnam Commodity Exchange (MXV) issued a decision to close open positions upon the expiration date of the Aluminum Futures Contract of the COMEX Commodity Exchange.

Specifically according to the decision:

Business Members (TVKD) are responsible and obligated to close open positions of Standard Futures Contracts (KHTC Contracts) on the maturity date.

Regulations for Trading Accounts holding open positions to buy KHTC Contracts approaching the first notification date according to Appendix 01 attached to this Decision.

Regulations for Trading Accounts holding open positions for selling KHTC Contracts approaching the final trading date according to Appendix 01 attached to this Decision.

For Inter-Term Transactions, Inter-Commodity Transactions, Inter-Exchange Transactions: in case the Trading Account does not have enough available margin after closing the open position of the KHTC Contract due for settlement, the Sales Representative will close the position of both the Inter-Term Transaction, Inter-Commodity Transaction, Inter-Exchange Transaction related to the KHTC Contract due for settlement.

This Decision takes effect from 8:00 a.m. on April 10, 2024. The Board of Directors, functional units under the Vietnam Commodity Exchange; Business Members; Brokerage Members are responsible for implementing this Decision.
