Sanrio Hello Kitty World park project in Tay Ho District revoked

The amusement park and auxiliary project at 151 - 153 Yen Phu has the commercial name of Sanrio Hello Kitty World Hanoi Entertainment Complex. The investor of the project is Hanoi Entertainment Services Investment and Development Company Limited.

The land planned to build the Sanrio Hello Kitty World Hanoi entertainment complex is prime land near West Lake.

According to the decision of the Hanoi Department of Planning and Investment, investors are not allowed to continue using the investment location and are not allowed to carry out procedures to adjust the investment location within 6 months from the date of no longer being allowed to continue using the land.

Investors are responsible for completing investment project liquidation procedures and performing obligations according to law.

The Sanrio Hello Kitty World Hanoi entertainment complex project is expected to be built on a land area of ​​nearly 30,000 ^m2 . In 2018, Hanoi City approved the project planning to build 8 floors high, with a density of 80%. The project is expected to be completed in 2020 but to date it is still an empty land surrounded by corrugated iron fences.

In 2016, the investor and Sanrio Hong Kong Company signed a cooperation agreement to develop an amusement park with Sanrio characters. The Sanrio Hello Kitty World Hanoi entertainment complex is expected to be an internationally branded indoor amusement park in Hanoi.
