Information at the press conference said that the high-speed railway project on the North-South axis through Ha Tinh province has a total length of about 103.42km. The starting point is in Bac Hong Linh ward, bordering Nghe An province; the ending point is in Vung Ang ward, bordering Quang Tri province.
The project passes through 18 communes and 5 wards. The station in Ha Tinh province has 3 stations (2 passenger stations and 1 cargo station). Of which, Ha Tinh passenger station is located in Ha Huy Tap ward, about 500m west of the National Highway 1A bypass; Vung Ang passenger station is located in Song Tri ward, about 100m west of the National Highway 1A bypass; Vung Ang cargo station is located in Song Tri ward, near the passenger station. There are 3 maintenance stations, including 1 station in Viet Xuyen commune, 1 station in Cam Lac commune and 1 station located in Ky Hoa commune...
According to initial reviews by localities, the entire route through Ha Tinh is expected to affect about 2,000 households, of which about 1,279 households will need to be resettled. Localities have proposed planning to build 35 resettlement areas with a total area of about 87.4 hectares, with an estimated cost of about 1,100 billion VND.
