- The project of telling historical stories through places and relics called "Love Vietnam" implemented by Nhan Dan Newspaper in collaboration with technology partners in Lang Son city has brought historical stories to the public, contributing to promoting Lang Son's cultural history to readers through digital space.
People experience the "Love Vietnam" project at Ky Lua walking street
On weekend evenings, Ky Lua Walking Street, Hoang Van Thu Ward is a favorite destination for many local people as well as tourists from near and far when visiting Lang Son city. This is also one of the three locations chosen to place a smart interactive station in the "Love Vietnam" project installed by Nhan Dan newspaper in Lang Son city. When using a smartphone to scan the NFC chip board, people and tourists can read information about Ky Lua Walking Street, Ky Lua night market such as: formation process, opening hours, activities that often take place here... along with special images of the walking street. In addition, when checking in, users can know the number of people who have checked in before and take a photo to post on the system. Using the touch point will help visitors learn about landmarks and relics, thereby better understanding the historical values, land and people of Lang Son.
Ms. Pham Hong Hanh, Ba Dinh District, Hanoi shared: The first time I had the opportunity to visit Ky Lua Walking Street, when using the station, I could easily learn about Ky Lua night market information, special activities taking place on the walking street... from there, I had more interesting and unique experiences here. Not only that, when checking in at the station, I could also take pictures to save and post on my check-in journey. I found it very interesting and meaningful.
In addition to Ky Lua Walking Street, 2 interactive stations of the project "Love Vietnam" are located at Ky Cung Riverside Park and Tam Thanh Pagoda. These are all relics, scenic spots, and typical destinations of Lang Son city. These stations are not simply places to look up information, but also visual and vivid learning tools for students. Instead of dry books, students can explore local history right at historical sites. Through interactive applications, images, and videos , the project arouses students' curiosity and interest in the formation and development of their homeland. Not only used to look up information, the stations also have utilities such as allowing people to connect to the internet, charge mobile devices, take photos to save memories, etc.
Dao Ha Trieu Vy, a 10th grade student at Chu Van An High School for the Gifted, Lang Son City, shared: I find the project "Love Vietnam" very interesting and meaningful. Since the interactive stations were placed in places like Tam Thanh Pagoda, learning local history has become more interesting. Before, every time the history of the pagoda was mentioned, I could only imagine it through the knowledge in books and newspapers. But now, standing right at Tam Thanh Pagoda, I can use the interactive station to see pictures, read detailed historical stories, and even have very vivid introductory videos... This helps me understand more deeply about the historical and cultural value of the pagoda, and feel more clearly the marks of time on each tile roof and statue. Not only Tam Thanh Pagoda, my friends and I often visit Ky Lua Walking Street or Ky Cung Riverside Park to learn more about other places in Lang Son. This project is like a companion, helping us learn history more naturally and easily.
It is known that the project "Love Vietnam" was deployed by Nhan Dan Newspaper since December 2024. Up to now, the project has placed 200 NFC chip boards at famous landmarks in 60 provinces and cities, with an average of 3 check-in points per province. The project was built to contribute to promoting tourism in a unique way, towards the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025). This contributes to creating a unique experience for tourists, while supporting and promoting local tourism.
Ms. Le Hai Yen, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, affirmed: We highly appreciate the initiative and practical effectiveness of the "Love Vietnam" Project. The application of digital technology to tell historical stories at places such as Ky Lua Walking Street, Ky Cung Riverside Park and Tam Thanh Pagoda relic is a new direction, attracting a large number of people and tourists. Smart interactive stations not only enhance the discovery experience, provide valuable information about history and culture easily, but also create unique tourist highlights, contributing to promoting and boosting Lang Son tourism effectively.
With the initial successes in Lang Son, we believe that the project "Love Vietnam" will continue to be expanded and developed strongly throughout the country, truly becoming a unique, attractive and effective tourism information channel, contributing significantly to promoting the image of a beautiful Vietnam, rich in cultural traditions to domestic and international friends, especially on the occasion of the meaningful 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day.
