Coffee price forecast for tomorrow, June 6, 2025 - the market is slightly increasing again.
Recorded on June 5, domestic coffee prices tended to “increase slightly” compared to yesterday; although the increase was only 100 VND/kg, it showed a positive signal from the market compared to the previous series of consecutive deep declines. And compared to the same period last year, the current coffee price is still 8,500 VND/kg higher.
Coffee prices have rebounded as a stronger Brazilian real has triggered short covering in the coffee futures market, experts said. The Brazilian real rose to a 1.5-week high against the US dollar on June 4, prompting Brazilian coffee producers to reduce their sales.
Experts say that without a sudden change in supply or demand, coffee prices will continue to be under downward pressure in the short term.
Regarding the domestic market, although coffee prices have shown positive signs and increased slightly, the pressure from the international market is still great when Robusta and Arabica prices continue to decrease. Growers should closely monitor price movements to choose the right time to sell, and pay attention to transportation costs when fuel prices have not cooled down.
In the short term, coffee prices may continue to be under pressure if global supply does not change dramatically.
Meanwhile, the business community believes that the market is under double pressure from strong supply and global economic fluctuations in the first half of 2025. Domestically, Vietnamese coffee prices are currently higher than other exporting countries, causing trading activities to slow down. In addition, transportation costs and concerns about new tariffs also increase the burden on businesses.
