RON95-III gasoline price forecast to increase by more than 21,000 VND/liter

The Vietnam Petroleum Institute (VPI) forecasts that gasoline and oil prices may increase by 6.5-7.7% in the operating period on June 19.

According to VPI data analysts, the retail price of E5 RON 92 gasoline is forecast to increase by VND1,255 (6.5%) to VND20,725/liter, while RON 95-III gasoline may increase by VND1,317 (6.6%) to VND21,277/liter.

VPI's model predicts that retail oil prices will also increase this period, specifically diesel may increase by 6.9% to VND18,921/liter, kerosene may increase by 6.9% to VND18,718/liter, and fuel oil is forecast to increase by 7.7% to VND17,727/kg.

VPI predicts that the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Industry and Trade will continue not to set aside or use the Gasoline and Oil Price Stabilization Fund this period.

Regarding the price of gasoline and oil in the world , Brent oil was sold at 75.18 USD/barrel, up 7.02%; WTI oil was 73.18 USD/barrel, up 7.26%. The reason for the sharp increase in world oil prices was due to concerns about the Iran-Israel conflict disrupting supply through the Strait of Hormuz. This is a significant increase in today's trading session when both key crude oils increased by more than 7%.
