Tourists excited about SUP festival in Da Nang

ĐNO - Taking place from June 19 to 23, "SUP Festival - Da Nang Colorful Festival" is one of the outstanding activities in the series of programs Enjoy Da Nang Festival 2025, attracting a large number of people and tourists to participate in the experience, spread a positive lifestyle, and connect the community.

These days, Man Thai beach (Son Tra district) has become the focus of a series of attractive sea sports activities with the event "SUP Festival - Da Nang Colorful Festival". The opening of the event is the display of 300 stand-up paddleboards (SUP), the entire beach area is "dressed in a new coat" with colorful SUPs creatively arranged, creating a unique visual art space. Not only is it a warm-up activity, it is also an ideal check-in spot, attracting young people and tourists to capture beautiful moments on the coast of Da Nang.

The exciting atmosphere continued to spread when the 1,000m men's and women's double SUP race officially took place with 20 teams, a total of 40 athletes. Each team consisted of 1 man and 1 woman, paddling a SUP together, starting simultaneously and competing directly.

The freestyle tandem SUP race with a longer distance of 2,500m - continues to challenge 60 athletes on 30 SUPs. With requirements for endurance, good coordination and solid paddling technique, the race brings dramatic chases, attracting the attention of a large number of viewers.

In particular, on June 22 and 23, the community SUP experience activity took place with a scale of 1,000 SUPs and about 2,000 participants. This is considered a meaningful activity, contributing to spreading a healthy lifestyle, close to the marine environment and encouraging the community to participate in outdoor sports activities.
