On her first day in Vietnam, Suzanne Moore chose to stay at a hotel near Hoan Kiem Lake and spent time visiting an art gallery.

“I was in a modern art gallery by the lake. The gallery was chic with works by a young contemporary artist: earthen squares, found objects, and a giant painting made of fingerprints,” writes author Suzanne Moore.
The experience in the capital of Vietnam brought an unforgettable experience to the author.
"This is one of the most interesting cities I've ever visited, with bustling traffic, markets, lights, street food, colonial architecture and giant monuments. I passed scooters stopped at traffic lights and mingled with slow-moving traffic. My tour guide showed me how to cross the street and I was amazed that I could do it myself," writes author Suzanne Moore.
According to the author, Vietnamese food is very attractive. There is nothing more interesting than sitting on a plastic chair to enjoy street food. In particular, the "bun cha" dish at the restaurant that former President Barack Obama once enjoyed has an unforgettable taste. For a long time, Vietnamese cuisine has also been an impressive highlight for international tourists because of its fresh dishes, diverse and attractive flavors.

"Grilled pork, vermicelli, herbs combined with dipping sauce. Bun cha brings an unforgettable delicious flavor, especially refreshing with a glass of beer after eating," author Suzanne Moore describes.
Or when observing the common landscape in the capital Hanoi, author Suzanne Moore said, "in the morning, many people gathered in Lenin Park to exercise when I passed by."
Amidst the hustle and bustle of life in Hanoi, Suzanne Moore clearly felt that people's lives had improved and the country's development process could be seen everywhere.
Impressive destinations in Vietnam
After a few hours drive southwest of Hanoi, the next stop is Pu Luong Retreat. The rice terraces in the distance, the mountain scenery – all look spectacular.
Located in Thanh Hoa province, only about 150 km from Hanoi, Pu Luong is blessed with abundant natural resources, making it one of the most lovely landscapes in the country.
Pu Luong Retreat Resort has a spa and a restaurant with many delicious dishes. The attraction of the space here is also due to the stilt houses and the simple life of the local people.
"We saw all kinds of fruits from star fruit, papaya, guava or poultry raised by local people. In particular, the lush green climbing betel tree reminded me of stories about Vietnamese women with red lips and black teeth - also a traditional custom from ancient times", author Suzanne Moore recounted.

Next, the author's journey of discovery to the West, specifically the Mekong Delta. According to the author, the special landscapes in the river region bring a completely different feeling. From the daily life of the people to the dishes, all bring a unique feeling of the region.
Finally, experience Con Son Island in the Con Dao archipelago. This was the destination of Angelina Jolie's family when they came to Vietnam in 2011.
"I chose to stay at Six Senses Con Dao Resort & Spa. The staff here are extremely nice. From the accommodation, I can see the island space surrounded by cool blue water. Activities like kayaking are really attractive here," the author wrote.
Con Dao attracts tourists with its wild, unspoiled beauty and beautiful long stretches of clear blue beaches. The archipelago is also home to pristine coral reefs, making it a paradise for snorkeling and scuba diving enthusiasts.

At the end of the experience, according to the author, the journey to explore Vietnam has left a deep impression. The photos taken are of farmers working in the rice fields in Pu Luong, or girls driving vespas in a hurry on the streets of Hanoi. Along with that are dishes with typical Vietnamese flavors such as spring rolls and bun cha.
"All of them reflect a glimpse of a modern and developed Vietnam today. Preserved in the captured frames are my unforgettable memories of my visit to this Southeast Asian country," author Suzanne Moore wrote./.
