The number of tourists visiting historical sites and scenic spots in Quang Binh increased significantly during the Tet holiday.

Ho Chi Minh Square in Dong Hoi City attracts thousands of tourists every day who come to visit and take souvenir photos during the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Dragon 2024.

According to the Department of Tourism 's report, the total number of tourists in the province from February 8th to February 14th, 2024 is estimated at approximately 115,000, including about 3,000 international tourists, a 20% increase compared to the Lunar New Year holiday of the Year of the Rabbit (2,500 tourists).

Most tourist attractions, accommodations, and many restaurants and tourism service providers operate to serve tourists during the Tet holiday. Adventure tourism products also organize tours to serve domestic and international tourists.

Every year, during the first days of the new year, tourists from Quang Binh province and neighboring provinces flock to the Than Dinh Mountain scenic area (Quang Ninh - Quang Binh) to offer incense at Non Pagoda on the summit of Than Dinh Mountain.

The trend among tourists during the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Dragon 2024 is to explore and experience local tourism products and stay primarily in accommodations of 3 stars or higher, or homestays and farmstays with beautiful scenery and close to nature in Phong Nha town and Dong Hoi city. Some spacious, airy homestays and farmstays with beautiful natural landscapes have a relatively high rate of advance bookings during the Tet holiday.

Popular tourist destinations such as the Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park, Thien Duong Cave, and Bang Onsen Spa & Resort, a hot spring resort and rehabilitation center, opened to visitors with occupancy rates exceeding 90% on some days.
