On July 28, Mr. Tran Van Phu - Head of Nha Trang Tourist Wharf Management Department (under Nha Trang Bay Management Board) - said that this morning, in the sea near Hon Mun Island, many tourists had the opportunity to witness the spectacular moment when a large whale emerged from the water to hunt for prey.
This is the second time whales have appeared in the area in the past week.
The whale emerged from the water, above was a flock of seabirds circling and fighting for food, creating a lively and interesting scene.
According to the leader of Nha Trang Bay Management Board, the return of whales is not only a special ecological image, but also a vivid proof of the effectiveness of marine ecosystem management and conservation.
In recent years, Khanh Hoa province has synchronously implemented a plan to restore the marine ecosystem of Nha Trang Bay, including directing the strict protection of Nha Trang Bay conservation area, continuing to monitor and control tourism activities and exploitation of marine resources, gradually moving towards the goal of developing sustainable ecotourism in harmony with nature conservation.
Nha Trang Bay Management Board also recommends that if visitors encounter whales, they should only observe from a distance and avoid approaching closely so as not to affect natural activities.
