From the beginning of 2024, Bac Ninh has many rich and vibrant cultural, sports and tourism activities, attracting a large number of people and tourists to enjoy, contributing to promoting and introducing the land, people, potential and strengths of Bac Ninh to domestic and international friends.
Some of the programs that attracted a large number of people and tourists include: the opening of the Giap Thin Spring Flower Street; Quan Ho Bac Ninh folk song singing programs on boats; traditional folk art performances at relics and tourist attractions in the province; organizing the Bac Ninh Four-Hero Football Tournament to welcome Spring 2024; the 2024 Asian Tennis Tournament; the 2024 Davis Cup World Group II Play-offs Tennis Tournament; welcoming Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan and the delegation of female Ambassadors, Chief of Mission, and representative agencies of international organizations to visit Tu Son city for spring.
In addition, the province will implement programs and activities to stimulate domestic tourism in 2024 and strengthen the work of ensuring safety for tourism activities during holidays and peak summer tourism season in the area; well manage the activities of travel and passenger transport businesses, especially those taking tourists abroad.
The province also directed tourist accommodation establishments to publicly list and sell at the right price, improve the quality of facilities and equipment to ensure tourist satisfaction.
The system of infrastructure and tourism service business is increasingly developing in a professional and modern direction, creating positive changes and improving the tourism environment.
In the first 5 months of the year, Bac Ninh tourism industry achieved total revenue of 1,070 billion VND, an increase of 45% over the same period in 2023, reaching 69% of the 2024 plan; there were more than 1.5 million tourists coming to Bac Ninh, an increase of 54% over the same period in 2023.
Currently, the whole Bac Ninh province has 559 organizations and individuals participating in tourism business activities.
Including 59 travel agencies, passenger transport agencies, and tourism businesses (19 licensed international travel agencies, 21 domestic travel agencies, and 2 travel agencies); 500 accommodation establishments with 8,183 rooms, of which 4 establishments meet 5-star standards, 1 establishment meets 3-star standards, and 3 hotels meet 2-star standards.
In the coming time, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Bac Ninh province will continue to promote tourism promotion associated with major programs and events, organize traditional folk art performances at a number of tourist destinations; focus on improving the quality of services, building new tourism products, creating unique, different products suitable for the market; strengthen cooperation and linkage to develop tours, routes and tourist destinations with provinces and cities in the Northern Delta region and with provinces nationwide.../.
