On November 4, Mr. Cung Quynh Anh - Deputy Director of Khanh Hoa Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism - said that he had sent an urgent document to tourism businesses in the province about proactively responding to storm Kalmaegi, ensuring safety for tourists.
Accordingly, the department recommends that businesses regularly monitor and update storm developments and weather conditions through official forecast channels. Facilities need to check and reinforce infrastructure and equipment to ensure safety for tourists and workers.
Tourist areas, attractions, and accommodation facilities along the coast, on islands and peninsulas must review and count the number of guests staying, and prepare rescue forces, vehicles, equipment, and essential goods to respond when the storm makes landfall.
The Department also requires units to be on duty 24/7 before, during and after the storm, regularly reporting the situation of guests staying and response work to the Department for timely monitoring and direction.
According to Tuoi Tre Online 's records at some island tourist destinations and coastal resorts in Khanh Hoa , many places have prepared to respond to storm No. 13, especially for tourists staying at these destinations.
A representative of The Anam resort Cam Ranh said that the unit is mobilizing forces to reinforce and tie down roofs in the resort, ensuring safety for tourists staying at the resort.
"Currently, room occupancy on storm days is about 60%, we have taken measures to ensure guests stay safely during the storm" - the resort representative shared.
Some other resorts in Khanh Hoa such as Six Senses Ninh Van Bay and Alma Cam Ranh have also made plans with resort staff to implement storm prevention measures.
For some hotels along the Nha Trang coast, the units have also made plans to move guests on-site in case sea-view rooms or low-level rooms are affected by the storm, ensuring necessities for guests staying during the storm.

Mr. Tran Van Phu - Head of the Tourist Wharf Management Department (Nha Trang Bay Management Board) - said that he is closely monitoring the developments of storm Kalmaegi to proactively coordinate with relevant agencies and deploy plans to ensure safety for vehicles and tourists.
According to Mr. Phu, based on daily weather forecasts and hourly updates on storm developments, the management board will coordinate to temporarily suspend granting permits for vehicles to leave the port during bad weather, and at the same time, propagate and remind tourist boats to proactively bring their vehicles to safe shelters.
