BHG - Ha Giang - the borderland of the Fatherland has become an ideal destination for the young generation. Gen Z tourists not only come here to take beautiful souvenir photos, but also choose Ha Giang to experience a new land, explore indigenous culture and heal their souls.

About a decade ago, Ha Giang was still a remote destination for many people, especially young tourists. However, in just the past few years, this place has become a top destination in the exploration journey of Gen Z. Dieu Linh (23 years old, Nam Dinh) shared about her trip to Ha Giang: “This is the first time I have come to Ha Giang. I feel overwhelmed by the majestic and wild beauty here. The winding passes, the terraced fields and the fresh air make me feel like I am living "slowly" in the midst of the hustle and bustle of life. I am also very impressed with the people of Ha Giang - they are gentle, hospitable and always have a friendly smile.”

Not only attracted by the majestic natural scenery, many young people actively learn and immerse themselves in the cultural life of the 19 ethnic groups here. Many groups of friends choose to stay at local homestays to have cultural experiences imbued with indigenous culture. “We went to Ha Giang for 4 days and 3 nights. Before going, we searched for information online from reviews on Facebook and TikTok groups and made a detailed and specific schedule, such as renting a sleeper bus from Hanoi to Ha Giang city, then renting a motorbike to start the journey to explore famous places such as Quan Ba, Yen Minh, Dong Van and then return to Meo Vac. We wanted to have the opportunity to learn more about the cultural identity of the highland people, so we chose a homestay as a place to rest at each destination. At the homestay, everything is very rustic, from dinner with local dishes to cooking with the host, going to the market, listening to stories about the lifestyle and activities of the ethnic groups,” Ngoc Mai (22 years old, Ha Nam) shared.

For Gen Z tourists, Ha Giang is not only a "check-in" destination, but also a place to help them temporarily leave the hustle and bustle of the city to rest and relax their souls. Besides, the cost for a young person to explore Ha Giang is currently quite accessible. With about 1 - 2 million VND, young tourists can fully experience 3 days 2 nights, including transportation, food and accommodation. Proactively booking early and traveling in groups helps the trip to be both economical and effective. Ngo Thuy Hang (24 years old, Quang Ninh) confided: "Ha Giang is truly beautiful in its own way - majestic, wild and attractive. The winding passes, the misty valleys, the terraced fields stretching to the horizon and the immense cat ear stone plateau... all make me feel like I'm lost in another world. If you are looking for a place to "escape" from the hustle and bustle, Ha Giang is definitely a destination not to be missed".

To make your trip to Ha Giang more complete and memorable, Gen Z tourists should not forget to pocket a few small "tips" below: First of all, you should prepare your health and spirit well to be ready to conquer the majestic winding Hanh Phuc - Ma Pi Leng pass of Ha Giang. Luggage should be light, prioritizing convenient items such as sneakers, sunscreen, raincoat, spare charger and camera to capture "unique" moments. In particular, you should proactively book in advance if you want to stay at lovely homestays with beautiful views, especially homestays with strong local cultural identity because during peak season, rooms are easily "sold out". Another tip for you is that on some Tuesdays of the month (not fixed), from 12:00 to 14:00, on the Vexere application, you can "hunt" for discounted bus tickets up to 50% from some bus companies, very suitable for optimizing costs for a trip to explore Ha Giang.

Through the "lens" of Gen Z tourists, Ha Giang is not just a destination, but a journey of discovery and experience. And perhaps, that is also the reason why many young people return to this place, not just once, but many times in their lives.
