Thien Cam Tourist Area has just received 20 four-wheeled electric vehicles with engines invested by GNC Ha Tinh Import-Export Investment Joint Stock Company (Ha Tinh City). The cost of equipping 20 electric vehicles is about 7 billion VND. It is expected that after the April 30 - May 1 holiday, GNC Ha Tinh Import-Export Investment Joint Stock Company will continue to import 10 more electric vehicles to serve tourists this year's tourist season.
According to the scope of operation, the tram route will pass through internal road areas in Thien Cam Tourist Area; the route along the sea embankment of Cam Nhuong commune, passing through Cua Nhuong fishing port and Cam Nhuong industrial cluster to the National Highway 15B feeder road and on the road section from Km48+00 to Km52+000/QL15B in Thien Cam town and go to Hai Dang area (Cam Linh commune).
The operating time of the electric car in a day will be from 5am to 11pm. To manage the service, GNC Ha Tinh Import-Export Investment Joint Stock Company has installed a positioning system and automatic fare machines on the electric cars; to avoid the situation of drivers driving on the wrong registered route, charging high service fees, affecting the image of Thien Cam Tourist Area.
The electric car service is put into operation to meet the travel needs in the entire Thien Cam tourist area; diversify tourism products to attract tourists to Thien Cam; thereby contributing to increasing budget revenue, developing the economy and creating jobs for people in Cam Xuyen district. This is also a solution to create order, limit dust and noise pollution, and ensure traffic safety in Thien Cam tourist area.
Previously, Thien Cam Tourist Area had an electric car service operating, but due to regulations, at the end of 2023, Cam Xuyen District Police issued a document requesting owners of 4-wheel electric cars serving tourists in Thien Cam to temporarily stop operating.
In recent times, the local government has repeatedly issued documents to propose removing difficulties and allowing the electric car service to resume to serve tourists. Recently, the Department of Construction granted a license to GNC Ha Tinh Import-Export Investment Joint Stock Company to operate a 4-wheeled motor vehicle transportation business, which has contributed to "removing obstacles" for Thien Cam Tourist Area to increase the attraction of tourists for sightseeing and relaxation.
