Duc Phuc visited poet Nguyen Duy: I thank you and am grateful to you

On the evening of September 29, singer Duc Phuc and his "team" went to poet Nguyen Duy's private home in Ho Chi Minh City to visit, give flowers and thank the author of "Vietnamese Bamboo".

Not only thanking, singer Duc Phuc also added "I am grateful to you".

Duc Phuc said he learned the poem "Vietnamese Bamboo" when he was in school and still remembers it.

Duc Phuc was moved by the poem, so when performing at the Intervision 2025 competition, there was no better choice than the image of Vietnamese bamboo to "express" the soul of the nation, of his homeland. He said: "Vietnamese bamboo creates very strong emotions".

Poet Nguyen Duy shared that he was very touched by Duc Phuc's words of "thank you and gratitude" and was very happy that young people had received cultural values, knew how to exploit and improve them.

The poem "Vietnamese Bamboo" is more than half a century old, but still has vitality thanks to the talent of today's youth.

Poet Nguyen Duy also said that musician Ho Hoai Anh called to wish him good health and promised to visit him and drink with him with singer Duc Phuc.
