In a letter of commendation sent to Duc Phuc after winning Intervision 2025, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh wrote, "This achievement is not only a great honor for singer Duc Phuc personally, but also a common pride of contemporary music and Vietnamese culture."

Speaking after the victory on the evening of September 20 (Russia time), Duc Phuc said "this performance brings the Vietnamese spirit to audiences around the world , proving that sometimes the simplest things can become truly excellent.

When performing this song, I want to express my deep love for my homeland and pride in my people."

The singer also scored points for his humble attitude, sharing that this victory was a big surprise, especially when his opponents were talented names, including Russian artist Shaman - who withdrew from the voting round in the final night.

He also improvised a cover of Shaman's song "Peace be upon you" and Belarusian singer Nastya Kravchenko's "Motley" as a way to show his respect for his opponents. The act of devoting part of the prize money to activities in Russia by the Vietnamese representative also received a lot of sympathy from international friends.

Once rejected at the first round, had his appearance criticized

To achieve success like today, Duc Phuc also went through many ups and downs, each step was a step closer and shining with his own passion.

Before being named the winner of The Voice 2015, Duc Phuc tried his hand at many music competitions such as Vietnam Idol and Vietnam's Got Talent but was eliminated by the judges in the qualifying round.

In Vietnam Idol, Duc Phuc's screen time was about 13 seconds, but in Vietnam's Got Talent, the male singer didn't even get to appear on screen.

However, winning The Voice 2015 did not stop some audiences from criticizing the artist's appearance, even calling him "the ugliest champion in history".

Duc Phuc was under mental pressure, lost weight (more than 20kg) and decided to have cosmetic surgery in 2017, marking a new turning point in his career.
