Saint Tran or Duc Tran Trieu or Quan Tran Trieu, his real name is Tran Quoc Tuan, he is a talented general of Vietnam and the world , both literary and martial, an outstanding elite. He is the one with the greatest contribution in the three defeats of the Yuan-Mongol army. People often know him by the name Hung Dao Dai Vuong. After the great defeat of the Yuan-Mongol army (1258 - 1288), Hung Dao Vuong Tran Quoc Tuan was considered by people everywhere as a saint who helped people escape from misery. Later, when he passed away, his name was still famous not only in Vietnam but also spread throughout the world (he is one of the 10 most talented generals in the world, along with Napoleon, Genghis Khan... who are people of great significance to world history), people worshiped him as Saint Tran. In the Vietnamese spiritual symbol system, many real characters are mythologized by the people, worshiped as saints and become supernatural beings, influencing the daily life and spirituality of each person. Among them, Duc Thanh Tran (Tran Quoc Tuan) is a character who joined the Four Palaces and became a deity to help people escape suffering and disaster. According to the legend of Duc Thanh Tran, he was the son of Duc Long Vuong Bat Hai Dai Vuong who ruled the river region. Because the people were in trouble, he reincarnated into Tran Quoc Tuan to save the people from foreign invaders, murderers and robbers. Duc Thanh Tran "was given a separate palace in the Tran Dynasty. In terms of rank, sometimes he was identified with the King Father in comparison with the Mother Goddess, his death anniversary and accompanying festival were also identified with the Father's death anniversary "August Father's death anniversary" along with Bat Hai Dai Vuong. The place where he was worshiped in Kiep Bac, there was a mountain that spread out to embrace the valley in front of the temple, which was Nam Tao and Bac Dau mountains. Thus, in the folk consciousness, he was naturally considered as the Jade Emperor, a higher Father King, above the Holy Mother. However, unlike the Jade Emperor or the Eight Sea King, who only resided on the temple but did not descend into the medium, the Saints of the Mother level also only descended but did not enter the medium, Duc Thanh Tran and some of his subordinates descended into the medium to exorcise evil spirits, cure the sick, creating a whole line of Thanh Dong, different from the form of serving the medium of the Mother-worshiping medium line. In the order of the mediumship of those with the Tran Dynasty foundation, it was usually after the Mother descended, and before the Saints of the Official level. That is Not to mention the form of spirit possession to exorcise evil spirits that often takes place during the festival of Duc Thanh Tran at his main places of worship. In the folk consciousness, Duc Thanh Tran is like an incarnation of the Jade Emperor, so he has gathered a large source of yang energy, can cure evil spirits, add vitality to weak creatures, help them have more strength to overcome illness. This explains why Duc Thanh Tran's ability to cure and save people is especially effective with the illnesses of women and children, because these people often have a lot of yin energy, according to folk belief, when yang energy is added, yin and yang are balanced, demons can no longer harm and the illness will recede. In addition, hanging a picture of Duc Thanh Tran in the house or office also brings luck, success in career and is also very beneficial for business people. Because Hung Dao Vuong is not only famous for his intelligence and courage, but he is also known as a meritorious mandarin whose career is always stable and progressive. In particular, the majestic appearance of the statue of Saint Tran will help the homeowner avoid the slander and jealousy of petty people. From there, it helps attract wealth and attract good fortune for the homeowner.
