The school's Board of Directors also worked with two students, PAP, the class monitor; and NTL, to have them report the incident.

The two students said that during the break after the second period on September 20, when they were talking to each other in class, P. told L. about a private secret of his. After listening, L. spoke loudly about the secret while his friends were around. Because he was afraid of revealing his private secret to his friends, in a moment of losing control, P. slapped L. After the incident, P. apologized to L.

When she got home that night, female student L. talked to her family, so her family was upset.

To clarify the parents' reflection that the class monitor had beaten many friends since grade 6 until now, the students all knew and the parents also knew but were too shy to speak up, the Principal of Vo Thi Sau Secondary School and the head of the parents' representative committee of grade 7E agreed to convene an extraordinary meeting with all parents of grade 7E students.

At the meeting on the afternoon of September 22, all parents of students in class 7E frankly discussed and reflected that the homeroom teacher's organization, management, and education methods were inappropriate, the homeroom teacher had delegated management authority to the class monitor, and the class monitor had not performed his duties in accordance with regulations.

Specifically, when students make mistakes, the class monitor punishes them by making them clean the class or stand up and sit down many times; sometimes the class monitor actually beats them. This has caused anger among parents about the homeroom teacher's management and education methods.

At the meeting, many parents suggested that the school replace the homeroom teacher, Ms. Nguyen Thi PA (teaching English), to create a safe and healthy educational environment for students to study, practice and cultivate better, creating trust for parents.

Also at the meeting, head teacher Nguyen Thi PA also recognized her shortcomings and mistakes in management, organization, and inappropriate educational measures. The teacher apologized to the parents and asked for serious self-criticism, admitted her shortcomings, and made corrections.

The Board of Directors of Vo Thi Sau Secondary School determined that the class monitor slapping NTL in class was a private matter between the two students, and that the class monitor slapping her friend was wrong because she used violence against her friend. Female student L. also had a shortcoming in not keeping her friend's personal secrets when she trusted her to share them. After the incident, the two students realized their shortcomings and apologized to each other.

According to homeroom teacher Nguyen Thi PA, giving the class monitor the authority to punish students in the class is wrong. The organization, management, and teaching methods are inappropriate, causing frustration for students and their parents.

The school has asked the homeroom teacher Nguyen Thi PA to write a self-criticism, strictly review her shortcomings, draw profound lessons, and then review and take disciplinary measures according to regulations.

Responding to the wishes of the majority of parents, the school has changed the educational and teaching duties of teacher Nguyen Thi P. A., not to be the homeroom teacher and English teacher in class 7E, but to assign other work; and assigned another teacher to be the homeroom teacher and English teacher in class 7E.
