National flag street in Bac Lieu

NDO - During the days of August and leading up to the historic National Day on September 2, on some streets in Vinh Loi and Phuoc Long districts, Bac Lieu province, people were excited with thousands of red flags and yellow stars fluttering under the bright yellow sun.

The fluttering red flags and yellow stars contribute to the brilliant decoration of the village roads that have been recognized as new rural areas in Bac Lieu. Those who have the opportunity to walk under the roads lined with national flags, to see with their own eyes the red flags and yellow stars fluttering in the wind, will surely be moved, filled with pride and love for the Fatherland. These days, we have the opportunity to return to visit the "National Flag Road" project in Phuoc Long, Hong Dan, Vinh Loi, Hoa Binh districts (Bac Lieu), with a total length of tens of kilometers, with thousands of red flags fluttering in the wind in the clear early autumn weather. “The formation of the National Flag Road not only enhances the beauty of the route to the special national historical site of Cai Chanh Base, Hong Dan District, but also serves as a form of patriotic education for everyone. With its important significance, the project “National Flag Road” has now been replicated by the youth union members on many more routes…”, shared comrade Nguyen Trang Anh Thu, Deputy Secretary of Bac Lieu Provincial Youth Union.

Bac Lieu people are very excited and proud to walk on the "National Flag Road" of their countryside.

I am even more proud that my hometown road is called “The Road of the Fatherland Flag”. I remind my children, family and neighbors to preserve the landscape and environment, contributing to making my hometown more and more beautiful…”, said Ms. Thach Thi Sanh, in Dai To Ni hamlet, Hung Hoi commune, Vinh Loi district (Bac Lieu). “ The roads lined with red flags and yellow stars fluttering in the wind will be a reminder to the young generation and people in the province about the glorious and proud revolutionary tradition of their hometown, so that they can strive, work hard and contribute their youth to the development of their hometown and country…”, shared Ms. Nguyen Thi Dieu Hien, a member of the Youth Union of Vinh Hau commune, Hoa Binh district.
