According to records, on average, every day on this route, there are hundreds of heavy-duty vehicles transporting various types of construction materials to serve project sites, continuously circulating back and forth with high density. On the route, a series of locations have been seriously degraded, damaged, cracked, and broken horizontally and vertically; the road surface is rough, peeling, creating numerous sinkholes.
In particular, many concrete structures and asphalt floors have been completely broken and deformed. Similarly, on Ha Huy Tap Street, National Highway 12C connecting from Ky Anh town bypass to National Highway 1A and down to Vung Ang port area, some branch roads from National Highway 1A connecting to Vung Ang Economic Zone (Ha Tinh)... are also in a state of serious degradation and damage.
Mr. Tran Xuan Phuong, Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ky Anh town, said that currently, the Vung Ang Economic Zone is like a large construction site. Recently, local authorities and voters have reflected, recommended, and proposed that superiors inspect and invest funds to repair and upgrade damaged and degraded roads. However, we have to wait for construction projects to be completed before implementing synchronous construction, because if we do patchwork construction now, the roads will be damaged again, causing waste.
