The Provincial Center for Disease Control recommends that the Health Centers of districts, towns and cities strengthen event-based surveillance to promptly detect suspected cases in the community and at medical facilities, especially respiratory diseases, acute respiratory infections, and severe viral pneumonia syndrome.

At the same time, promptly take samples for testing for suspected COVID-19 cases, especially those with symptoms of acute respiratory infections and a history of travel to or from epidemic areas; thoroughly handle COVID-19 cases and outbreaks when detected, to prevent spread and outbreaks in the community; continue to maintain and improve the effectiveness of the COVID-19 case surveillance system in the community, medical facilities, schools, and workplaces; review and strengthen the rapid response teams at district and commune levels, and be ready to handle outbreaks when detected.

At the same time, promote communication work on mass media and social networks, instruct people to implement measures to prevent and control the COVID-19 epidemic such as wearing masks in public places, washing hands with sanitizer, avoiding crowded gatherings; closely coordinate with local authorities and relevant units in the prevention and control of infectious diseases in general and the COVID-19 epidemic in particular in the area.
