Eximbank reported a profit of VND 2,049 billion after the first 9 months of 2025

(Dan Tri) - In the first 9 months of the year, Eximbank reported a profit of 2,049 billion VND, credit activities grew by more than 8.51%. The after-tax profit margin on equity (ROE) reached 6.23%.

Vietnam Export Import Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Eximbank, code EIB) has just announced its financial report for the third quarter and the first 9 months of 2025 with positive business results, continued expansion of asset and credit scale, and stable growth in mobilized capital.

As of September 30, 2025, Eximbank's total assets reached VND 255,707 billion, an increase of 6.65% over the beginning of the year.

Total mobilized capital reached VND224,282 billion, up 6.77% compared to the beginning of the year. Of which, capital mobilized from economic organizations and residents reached VND176,165 billion, up 5.21%; issuance of valuable papers reached VND18,467 billion, up sharply 69.97%.

Eximbank's credit activities continue to grow positively, targeting priority sectors of the economy. By the end of the third quarter of 2025, outstanding credit reached VND 182,552 billion, up 8.51% compared to the beginning of the year.

In the third quarter of 2025, Eximbank recorded net interest income of VND 1,465 billion, a slight decrease of 4.6% over the same period. Service activities, foreign exchange, other activities... contributed significantly to the bank's revenue structure. Operating expenses increased to VND 924.6 billion, up 6.98% over the same period. At the end of the third quarter, Eximbank's pre-tax profit reached VND 560 billion, a decrease of 38.02% over the same period.

Accumulated in the first 9 months of the year, Eximbank achieved net interest income of 4,289 billion VND. Profit from service activities and foreign exchange trading reached 348 billion VND and 464.5 billion VND respectively. Profit from other activities also brought in 332.8 billion VND for Eximbank.

Risk provision expenses decreased by 27% due to the improvement in loan asset quality. However, the bank's operating expenses increased by 18.5% to VND2,883.9 billion, so pre-tax profit decreased to VND2,049 billion, equivalent to a decrease of 13.85% compared to the same period.

The return on assets (ROA) after tax reached 0.65%. The return on equity (ROE) after tax reached 6.23%. Eximbank's lending structure has changed significantly, with the long-term lending ratio increasing sharply, while the short- and medium-term lending ratio remains stable.

During the quarter, Eximbank made a remarkable mark with many domestic and international awards, while implementing practical credit policies aimed at supporting people and businesses - in line with the orientation of the Government and the State Bank.

As a bank with strengths in the field of trade finance, in the context of increasing exchange rates in the last quarter, Eximbank has synchronously implemented many credit and incentive policies to effectively support import-export enterprises.

The E-ONE credit package is exclusively for large enterprises and FDI, with preferential loan interest rates, international payment fees and money transfer fees. At the same time, Eximbank provides interest rate risk insurance tools for foreign currency loans, helping enterprises proactively control financial costs in the face of exchange rate fluctuations.

Eximbank is committed to providing the most competitive foreign exchange rates in the market to support input and output costs for import-export enterprises. In addition, the program " Travel Five Continents with Eximbank Foreign Exchange" season 3 is deployed as a form of encouragement for customers to increase foreign exchange transactions.

Recently, Eximbank was honored at the Asia Pacific Enterprise Awards (APEA) 2025. Eximbank is also one of the prominent banks included in the PRIVATE 100 list - the list of private enterprises that contribute the largest budget in Vietnam.

In addition, Eximbank is in the “Top 50 most effective businesses in Vietnam” of Nhip Cau Dau Tu magazine; received the “Outstanding Technology and Digital Transformation Product of 2025” award for the third consecutive time from VWA; received the “Excellent International Payment Quality” award from BYN Mellon...
