On October 31, military forces from Military Region 5, Chemical Corps, Air Defense - Air Force (Ministry of National Defense) organized cleaning and disinfection to help Quang Nam Regional General Hospital, Dien Ban Ward, Da Nang City.
Military Region 5 has mobilized about 250 officers and soldiers along with machinery and equipment to focus on treating the mud and waste remaining in the hospital after the flood and using specialized equipment for disinfection.

According to information from Quang Nam Regional General Hospital, this is a historic flood that submerged the first floor of the hospital by about 1.5 meters, completely isolating the hospital. There were about 1,500 people including doctors, nurses, patients and their families trapped in the hospital during the recent flood.
Doctor Vo Thoi, Deputy Director of Quang Nam Regional General Hospital, said the support from the military is very timely and useful in the current period. After the flood, it is expected that the number of patients coming for treatment will be very large.
"In addition to cleaning, the soldiers also sprayed disinfectant to ensure hygiene and safety for the hospital as well as the patients. In just a few hours, the hospital will be able to return to normal operations," said Dr. Thoi.

The two priority medical facilities are Duy Xuyen General Hospital (Nam Phuoc Commune) and Dien Ban Regional General Hospital. These are large hospitals, serving tens of thousands of people in areas severely affected by floods.
