Felix is about to go to Al Nassr. |
At the age of 25, Felix agreed to move to Saudi Arabia to play for Al Nassr. Both sides agreed on personal terms. In addition to the £44 million transfer fee, The Sun reported that the Saudi Arabian team offered a five-year contract, with a salary of up to £22 million a year (around £420,000 a week).
Compared to the Premier League, this salary would make Felix the second highest-earning player in the league, behind only Erling Haaland (£500,000 a week). Felix's salary is even £20,000 a week higher than Mohamed Salah, who has just signed a new contract with Liverpool.
Felix had wanted to return to Benfica to revive his career this summer. However, with interest from Al Nassr - a team with strong financial potential thanks to the support of the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund (PIF) - everything changed.
If the deal is completed, Felix will have the opportunity to reunite with his teammate on the Portuguese national team, Cristiano Ronaldo. After letting Jhon Duran go to Fenerbahce on loan, Al Nassr needs to recruit a striker to pair with CR7.
Felix joined Chelsea on loan from Atletico Madrid, before being bought permanently in the summer of 2025 for a fee of £45m. However, the Portuguese failed to make an impact at Stamford Bridge and was then loaned out to AC Milan for the second half of the 2024/25 season, where he scored three goals in 19 appearances.
