(NADS) - The 2024 Da Lat Flower Festival has just been announced to take place for nearly a month at the end of the year, organized on the largest scale ever.
Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee has just held a press conference to announce the contents of the 10th Da Lat Flower Festival, which is expected to officially open on December 5 and close on the occasion of welcoming the new year on December 31, 2024.
This year's Da Lat Flower Festival has a total of 45 programs. Of which, there are 10 main programs, 12 response programs and 23 other programs. Among them are flower spaces in public areas for 1 month, from December 5, 2024 to January 5, 2025, combined with serving people and tourists on the occasion of New Year 2025.
In particular, on the nights of December 6 and 7, Da Lat city will organize street art performances and parades of cars decorated with fresh flowers with themes related to the city of flowers, music and national unity.
The entire festival is expected to cost over 60 billion VND, with funding coming mainly from fundraising. The program’s overall content is built on the spirit of honoring flowers and music.
Leaders of Lam Dong Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism expect that the 10th Da Lat Flower Festival will welcome 2 million visitors during the festival.
Speaking at the press conference, Mr. Pham S - Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Organizing Committee of the 10th Da Lat Flower Festival - affirmed that the Da Lat Flower Festival is of a very different scale and class compared to other festivals in the country.
Because the scale of the festival is not only national but also international. "The 10th Flower Festival will be the largest festival ever held. This is considered a summary of all previous festivals," Mr. Pham S emphasized.
