Galaxy S25 Ultra costs more than its predecessor

Due to the increased cost of the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and other components, the manufacturing cost (BoM) of the Galaxy S25 Ultra will be at least $110 higher than the Galaxy S24 Ultra.

Given this situation, Samsung is said to be considering increasing the price of the Galaxy S25 Ultra to ensure profits. However, the price in the Chinese market will likely remain the same due to competitive pressure from domestic brands.

If the news is true, users will have to pay a significant amount more to own Samsung's most advanced flagship. However, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is also expected to bring many valuable upgrades, including:

- 16GB RAM, Snapdragon 8 Elite chip.

- Frame interpolation technology for smoother gaming experience.

- Slim bezel design, rounded corners.

- Upgraded camera system.

- Satellite connection feature.

Specifically, in terms of design, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is said to have softer curved edges than its predecessor.

This information was shared by an X account named @Jukanlosreve. In addition to the obvious appearance, some previous leaks suggested that the Galaxy S25 Ultra will be about 14 grams lighter than the S24 Ultra, along with a thinner frame.

The back panel appears to be similar to the S24 Ultra's Grade 2 titanium frame, albeit in a previously unseen white/silver color. While this could very well just be a random back color for a fake device, it could also be the rumored new Titanium Silver color. As of now, Titanium Silver will be the base color option for the S25 Ultra, along with Titanium Gray, Titanium Blue, and Titanium Black. In addition to those four colors, the S25 Ultra may also come in three more online-only colors: Dark Blue, Turquoise Green, and Rose Gold.

The camera placement on the back looks identical to the S24 Ultra, and the flash is no different. One notable thing is that the circular details on the Galaxy Z Fold 6 do not appear on the camera of this model. As for the front, it is almost completely different from its predecessor.

Of course, this is still just a leaked model. More detailed specifications on size, style and design will be updated in the following days, especially a few weeks before the official launch.
