Nearly 10,500 12th graders take mock exam for 2025 high school graduation exam

During 2 days (May 14-15), nearly 10,500 candidates who are 12th grade students in the province including 33 high schools, 2 Vocational Education - Continuing Education Centers of Phu Hoa and Tay Hoa districts, Provincial Continuing Education Center, Phu Yen Vocational College, Phu Yen Ethnic Youth Vocational College participated in the 2025 High School Graduation Trial Exam. This is the first year that candidates will take the exam according to the 2018 general education program.

During 2 days (May 14-15), nearly 10,500 candidates who are 12th grade students in the province including 33 high schools, 2 VocationalEducation - Continuing Education Centers of Phu Hoa and Tay Hoa districts, Provincial Continuing Education Center, Phu Yen Vocational College, Phu Yen Ethnic Youth Vocational College participated in the 2025 High School Graduation Trial Exam. This is the first year that candidates will take the exam according to the 2018 general education program.

The mock test by the Department of Education and Training is similar to the sample test structure of the Ministry of Education and Training . Accordingly, on the morning of May 14, candidates will take the 120-minute Literature exam in essay format. In the afternoon of the same day, candidates will take the 90-minute Math exam in multiple-choice format. On May 15, candidates will take 2 elective subjects out of 10 subjects, including: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Informatics, Technology - Industry, Technology - Agriculture, History, Geography, Economics and Law, English. Each elective subject will last 50 minutes, multiple-choice format.

For multiple choice tests, there are 3 parts. In the first multiple choice test, candidates choose the correct option from 4 options. In the second part, candidates choose the true/false answer. In the third part, candidates must calculate the result to write down (short answer).

The 2025 high school graduation exam will take place from June 26-27. On the morning of June 26, candidates will take the 120-minute Literature exam and the 90-minute Math exam in the afternoon. On the morning of June 27, candidates will take two optional exams, including the first and second subjects, each lasting 50 minutes. The Literature exam will be in essay format. The remaining subjects will be multiple choice with questions of choosing the correct option, true/false answers, and short answers.
