Nearly 30% of young people enlisting in the military are Party members.

According to the Military Command of Cam Lo District, Quang Tri Province, in 2025, Cam Lo District has been assigned to select 111 citizens to enlist in the armed forces to defend the Fatherland, including 80 citizens for military service and 31 citizens for service in the People's Public Security Force.

Through the selection process, eligible citizens were recruited within the eligible age range of 18-27 years old; 100% of citizens had an education level from junior high to high school; possessed good health, political and moral qualities, ensuring service in the army; and 8 citizens had college or university degrees.

In particular, along with the recruitment of citizens for military service, Party committees at all levels in the district have done a good job of fostering awareness and admitting young people into the Party before they enlist. Among the 111 citizens enlisting this year, 33 young people were admitted into the Communist Party of Vietnam , the highest number ever. These are exemplary young people with good moral character and abilities; they actively participate in patriotic activities and emulation movements in their localities.

The attention given by Party committees at all levels to selecting, training, and admitting outstanding young people into the Party before their enlistment will contribute to improving the quality of recruitment, especially in terms of political quality, and help build an increasingly strong armed forces. At the same time, it will create opportunities for new recruits to develop better within the military, using their youthful energy to serve the Fatherland and the people.
