Nearly 30% of young people joining the army are party members.

The Military Command of Cam Lo District, Quang Tri Province said that in 2025, Cam Lo District was assigned to select 111 citizens to join the army to protect the Fatherland, including 80 citizens participating in military service and 31 citizens performing public security service.

Through the selection steps, the selected citizens are of eligible military age, aged 18 - 27 years old; 100% of citizens have a cultural level from junior high school to high school; have good health, political qualities, and ethics, ensuring service in the army; 8 citizens have college and university degrees.

In particular, along with the selection of citizens for military service, the Party committees at all levels in the district have done a good job of educating and recruiting young people to join the Party before they leave for military service. Of the 111 citizens who left for military service this year, 33 young people were admitted to the Communist Party of Vietnam, the highest number ever. These are exemplary young people with good moral qualities and abilities; actively participating in patriotic emulation movements and activities in the locality.

The attention of Party committees at all levels in selecting, training and recruiting outstanding young people for the Party before they join the army will contribute to improving the quality of selection and calling citizens to join the army, especially in terms of political quality, contributing to building an increasingly strong armed force. At the same time, it will create opportunities for new recruits to have better conditions to develop in the army, bringing their youth to serve the Fatherland and the People.
