Nearly 4,000 candidates enter the first 10th grade exam in Ho Chi Minh City

According to information from the Gifted High School, a total of 3,509 candidates from Ho Chi Minh City and many other provinces and cities registered to take the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year.

The exam is held at 3 locations:

Exam site No. 1: Gifted High School - District 5 campus (153 Nguyen Chi Thanh, Ward 9, District 5), exam will be held on May 24 and the morning of May 25.

Exam site No. 2: Saigon Practical High School (220 Tran Binh Trong, Ward 4, District 5), exam will be held on May 24 and the afternoon of May 25.

Exam site No. 3: Gifted High School - Thu Duc campus (Ho Chi Minh City National University Urban Area, Linh Trung Ward, Thu Duc City), exam will be held on May 24 and 25.

Notably, at testing site No. 3, candidates whose exam rooms are marked with the symbol “NĐH” on their exam notices will take the exam at the administration building of the University of Natural Sciences . These candidates will only take the exam on May 24 and the morning of May 25.

Candidates can go straight to the main gate of the University of Natural Sciences' administration building or enter from the main gate of the Thu Duc Gifted High School, then move about 200m along the internal path.

In order to provide maximum support to candidates, the Gifted High School's canteen is open to serve lunch to students who need to rest between two exam sessions.

Enrollment target for the 2025-2026 school year

District 5 campus (one-session, at 153 Nguyen Chi Thanh, District 5) enrolls 7 specialized 10th grade classes including: Math, Informatics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English and Literature. Total quota: 245 students, each class has no more than 35 students.

Specialized classes at this facility focus on in-depth training in specialized subject knowledge, developing logical thinking, combined with STEMeducation , experiential activities and career guidance to orient students to become experts in related fields.

Thu Duc Campus (semi-boarding at Ho Chi Minh City National University Urban Area) recruits 10 specialized classes including: Math (2 classes), Information Technology (1 class), Physics (1 class), Chemistry (1 class), Biology (1 class), English (2 classes) and Literature (2 classes). Total quota: 350 students, each class has no more than 35 students.

Here, the training program aims to develop interdisciplinary thinking skills, helping students apply specialized knowledge to solve problems in the fields of natural sciences, technology, society, etc.

Students also participate in many experiential activities, thereby having career orientation suitable to their abilities and interests.
