Accordingly, the Branch has coordinated with local authorities and unions to deploy loans in communes building new rural areas with nearly VND 4,760 billion, accounting for 82.8% of the total outstanding debt of the provincial Social Policy Bank; in which, for 97 communes meeting new rural standards, the amount is more than VND 2,961 billion, accounting for 62.21% of the total outstanding debt.
The results of investing in preferential credit capital have contributed to helping localities implement the criteria for building new rural areas in terms of reducing the poverty rate, creating jobs, building clean water and environmental sanitation works, developing production and livestock, increasing people's income, and contributing to changing the face of rural areas.
Thanks to the support of policy credit loans, the implementation of the movement of the whole country joining hands to build new rural areas has achieved many positive results. The whole province achieved an average of 16.1 criteria/commune, 0.4 criteria/commune higher than the whole country and currently there is no commune with less than 5 criteria. To date, 97/122 communes have met the new rural standards.
