People hospitalized with suspected food poisoning from eating bread in Long Khanh city.

According to initial information, the hospitalized people all ate meat-filled sandwiches at an establishment in Xuan Binh ward, Long Khanh city between 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on April 30.

After eating, many people showed symptoms of vomiting, diarrhea, fever, stomachache... Some of them bought medicine to take at home but did not get better so they were hospitalized for treatment on the morning of May 1.

By the evening of May 1, Long Khanh General Hospital said that nearly 70 people had been hospitalized with symptoms of suspected food poisoning.

After being admitted to the hospital, doctors diagnosed that the patients had intestinal infections and were treated promptly. Some cases were discharged home after their health stabilized and there were no cases that progressed to a more serious condition.

Upon inspection, the facility was found to have a business registration certificate. However, there was no certificate of food safety and hygiene. The Long Khanh City inspection team requested the facility to temporarily suspend its bread business until an official conclusion was reached.
