Nearly 900 cadres and union members participate in the Economic Zone Trade Union cross-country race

Female athletes start at a distance of 3km at Phuoc Dong Industrial Park.

This is a race for cadres, union members, workers, and foreign experts from units and enterprises in industrial parks (IPs) and export processing zones to celebrate the 135th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025).

In his opening speech, Mr. Nguyen Trong Danh - Vice Chairman of the Economic Zone Trade Union said that the race aims to arouse the spirit of solidarity, improve health, build a healthy cultural and sports life among workers, aiming to improve health, create a healthy playground, and encourage the spirit of emulation and production among workers and laborers.

Consolation prizes were awarded to female athletes who finished 3km.

He asked the athletes participating in the tournament to promote the spirit of solidarity, responsibility, compete honestly, and demonstrate the noble spirit of sportsmanship . Supporters from agencies and units supported the athletes with polite and civilized communication culture, ensuring absolute safety during the tournament.

Male athletes start at a distance of 5km.

The cross-country race includes 2 distances, 3km for female athletes and 5km for male athletes; starting and finishing at the urban area of ​​Phuoc Dong Industrial Park (Go Dau district).

Although affected by the weather due to early season rain, the athletes still participated enthusiastically.

Early in the morning of May 10, despite the weather being affected by the first rain of the season, the race had to be postponed from the planned time. However, with the spirit of sportsmanship and the enthusiastic cheers of the fans, the athletes reached the finish line, ensuring time and absolute safety.

The female athlete finished first in the 3km distance.

At the end of the race, the Organizing Committee awarded 2 first prizes in 2 distances for men and women; 2 second prizes, 2 third prizes and 30 consolation prizes.

Foreign expert finished first in the men's 5km.

In addition, the Organizing Committee also awarded the first prize to the 2 foreign experts who finished the race the earliest; the prize for the unit with the largest number of athletes participating went to the Trade Union of Sailun Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Phuoc Dong Industrial Park); 1 prize for the runner with the most impressive costume went to the union member of Xiang Jiang VN Co., Ltd. (Thanh Thanh Cong Industrial Park).

Ms. Phan Thi Hong Dao - Permanent Vice President of Tay Ninh Labor Federation and Mr. Nguyen Trong Danh - Vice President of Economic Zone Trade Union awarded First, Second and Third prizes to outstanding athletes.

Each participating athlete will receive a competition shirt, glass bottle and medal after completing the race.

To ensure the health of athletes before and after the race, the Tay Ninh Economic Zone Trade Union has prepared a food and water area with many dishes, fruits and cold drinks; there is a medical area fully equipped with equipment to support athletes promptly.
