Meeting with representatives of prestigious ethnic minorities and religious dignitaries and officials

(DN) - On May 29, the Provincial Military Command held a meeting with representatives of prestigious ethnic minority people and religious dignitaries and officials in the province in 2025.

Attending the meeting were Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Son Hung; Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command Bui Dang Ninh; dignitaries and officials representing 43 organizations of 11 religions with more than 2.2 million followers; 20 prestigious people among ethnic minorities representing nearly 200,000 ethnic minorities in the province.

According to the Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command, Bui Dang Ninh, in recent times, the coordination between the provincial armed forces and dignitaries, officials of religious organizations, and prestigious people among ethnic minorities has achieved positive results in building a cultural lifestyle, maintaining political security, social order and safety, and implementing patriotic emulation movements well...

In 2025, among the 2,900 young men who will join the army, there will be 1,000 young men who are children of religious people and 205 young men who are ethnic minorities. Since the beginning of the year, 11 district and city military commands have coordinated with Party committees, authorities, religious organizations, and prestigious people among ethnic minorities to carry out many activities to honor families with meritorious services, support poor families and people in difficult circumstances... with a total budget of over 5.8 billion VND.

In 2024 and the first 5 months of 2025, the provincial armed forces coordinated with Party committees, authorities, departments, branches and organizations to renovate and repair more than 35km of rural roads, build 20 military-civilian gratitude houses - comrade houses, participate in building green - clean - beautiful environmental landscapes in 159 communes, wards and towns; support the construction of concentrated cultural activities for ethnic minorities and followers of religions...

On behalf of ethnic minorities, religious dignitaries, officials and followers, the delegates attending the program highly appreciated the care and support of the Dong Nai armed forces for religious people and ethnic minorities. At the same time, they hoped that the good, strong and understanding relationship between the armed forces and religious organizations and ethnic minorities would continue to be promoted to contribute to the development of the locality.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Son Hung praised the coordination between the provincial armed forces and prestigious people among ethnic minorities and religious dignitaries and officials in implementing patriotic emulation movements in the area.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Provincial Military Party Committee to focus on directing the effective implementation of propaganda, education and mobilization work to mobilize people to effectively implement the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws and policies on religion.

At the same time, the provincial leaders requested the Provincial Military Command, sectors and authorities at all levels to pay more attention to helping and supporting ethnic minorities and religious people to reduce poverty, improve people's knowledge and health.
