Meeting to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Cuba

On the morning of April 16, the Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations held a meeting to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Cuba (1960 - 2025) and the 64th anniversary of the victory of Hiron (1961 - 2025).

Attending the meeting were Mr. Joy Puentes Saldise, Deputy Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to Vietnam; Mr. Phan Van Quy, Vice President of the Vietnam - Cuba Friendship Association; leaders of the Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations and provincial departments, branches and sectors.

In 1960, Vietnam and Cuba officially established diplomatic relations. Since then, the Vietnam-Cuba relationship has become an exemplary symbol of international solidarity, overcoming all geographical, linguistic or political distances.

Vietnam - Cuba relations continue to be consolidated and strengthened in all areas, economic , trade and investment cooperation is increasingly developing. The two countries regularly exchange high-level delegations, enhance people-to-people exchanges, and cooperate in the fields of education, health, science and technology.

Although it does not share a border with Cuba, Vinh Phuc has established a sister relationship with Mayabeque province, a dynamic province with a rich revolutionary tradition in Cuba.

On the basis of comprehensive cooperation and friendship between the two countries, every year, Vinh Phuc province regularly organizes receptions and meetings with the Cuban Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Vietnam and delegations of the Embassy. At the same time, it accompanies delegations of Party and State leaders to visit and work in Cuba; organizes delegations of provincial leaders to visit and promote investment in Cuba; organizes a number of friendly meetings on the occasion of the anniversary of the Cuban people's Moncada victory in Vinh Phuc...

The meeting was an opportunity to review the glorious historical journeys and express gratitude for the deep and lasting affection that the Vietnamese and Cuban peoples have for each other.

After the meeting, the Cuban Embassy Delegation in Vietnam visited Vinh Phuc Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company.
