Urgently complete the project to build a free trade zone in Dong Nai

According to the first Draft, the Free Trade Zone Project developed by the Department of Finance, the project's content focuses on the following sections: assessing the current status and specific factors of the location of the free trade zone; assessing the suitability of the establishment conditions; orientation for the development of the free trade zone in Dong Nai ; plans, roadmap for investment, construction and development, and solutions for implementation.

The draft also outlines a number of areas where free trade zones are expected to be established to solicit opinions from departments and experts. The advantageous locations are near Long Thanh International Airport, Phuoc An Port, Cai Mep - Thi Vai port cluster and expressways, railways, etc.

At the meeting, representatives of departments and branches contributed opinions on the issue of clearly defining the goals of developing the free trade zone; implementation location; investment plan; management method when forming; industry structure in the free trade zone... These issues need to be carefully studied based on experience in successful international free trade zones and have appropriate orientation.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Duong Minh Dung directed the Department of Finance to continue to complete the project in May, based on consulting with relevant parties, including reputable consulting units. After completing the project, it will be submitted to the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee for approval and reported to the Prime Minister . At the same time, it is necessary to proactively advise the province to make a plan to assign specific tasks to implement the project.
