Land clearance for projects to release power capacity for 2 power plants worth 1.4 billion USD will be completed before June 15.

Reporting at the meeting, the representative of the National Power Transmission Corporation (investor) said that to release capacity for the above 2 power plants, the electricity industry plans to implement 4 power grid projects. To date, 1 project has been completed and put into use to ensure testing and grid transmission of Nhon Trach 4 Power Plant, 3 projects are still stuck, mainly in terms of land. In particular, Nhon Trach 3 Power Plant is temporarily using the grid of Nhon Trach 1 and Nhon Trach 2 Power Plants.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Duong Minh Dung said that, in recent times, Dong Nai has actively directed units and localities to accelerate the compensation and site clearance of power projects to release capacity for Nhon Trach 3 and Nhon Trach 4 Power Plants. Up to now, the province has completed the handover of 2/3 of the projects. There is only one project left, Nhon Trach 3 220kV Line - Long Thanh 500kV TVA, with 37/87 tower positions, and is continuing to mobilize people to hand over the site.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee directed the People's Committees of Nhon Trach and Long Thanh districts to continue to mobilize people to hand over the remaining pole locations and power grid corridors to ensure construction and wire pulling, striving to complete before June 15.

In the immediate future, it is necessary to urgently complete the issuance of decisions approving specific land prices, verifying land origins; approving compensation and support plans to pay money to households, issuing notices of recovery for remaining households... Carry out compensation and site clearance work in parallel according to regulations, combined with mobilizing people to hand over the site in advance for investors to construct.

The provincial leaders also requested the investor to continue to coordinate with the locality in the process of mobilizing people to hand over the remaining foundation sites. Direct the construction unit to immediately pull the ropes at the foundation sites where people have agreed to hand over the site.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hoang Long said that Nhon Trach 3 Power Plant will be commercially operational in August 2025, and Nhon Trach 4 Power Plant in November 2025. These are the two most important energy source projects that will be put into operation in 2025, contributing to reducing the pressure on the national power system. In recent times, with the attention and direction of the Prime Minister, the support and determination of the locality and the activeness of the investor, the project has been and is about to be completed. However, the grid synchronization projects are still slow, affecting the overall progress of the power plant and the project's efficiency.

The Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade requested the province to continue to pay attention and closely direct localities to complete site clearance work by June 15 as committed, to have construction site, contributing to bringing the project to the finish line as soon as possible.
