Silver prices on the world market have had a slight adjustment down around 32.78 USD/ounce after approaching the 33.15 USD/ounce mark yesterday (May 14).

One of the main factors driving the volatility in silver prices has been a shift in investor sentiment, as money began to shift to riskier assets. This comes after positive news over the weekend that the US and China had improved trade relations, with an agreement to reduce most tariffs on each other’s goods within 90 days.

This signal raised hopes of a reduction in trade tensions, which could have positive effects on the global economy and undermine silver's role as a safe-haven asset.
