Phu Quy Gold and Gemstone Group, Phu Quy silver price turned down, listed at 1,241,000 VND/tael (buy) and 1,279,000 VND/tael (sell) in Hanoi .
In addition, according to a survey at other trading locations in Hanoi, domestic silver prices have reversed and decreased in both buying and selling directions, currently listed at VND 1,021,000/tael (buy) and VND 1,051,000/tael (sell).
In Ho Chi Minh City, silver prices also decreased, currently at 1,023,000 VND/tael (buy) and 1,056,000 VND/tael (sell).
World silver prices have decreased in both buying and selling directions, currently at 833,000 VND/ounce (buy) and 838,000 VND/ounce (sell).
World market
On the world market, the silver price listed on Goldprice.org is at 31.97 USD/ounce.
Silver unexpectedly reversed lower after yesterday's price increase, but many experts believe the metal still has room to continue rising.
Silver continues to benefit from interest in precious metals amid weak US macroeconomic data, said Arslan Ali, currency and commodities analyst at FX Empire.
“This week’s ADP employment report showed a slowdown in private sector job growth, while initial jobless claims jumped to 241,000, marking the highest level since February. The ISM manufacturing PMI also continued to decline at 48.7, indicating an overall economic slowdown,” he said.
In the long term, analysts at BMO Capital Markets said the solar sector will play a key role in the silver market as global demand for cheap renewable energy continues to grow.
