Globally, financial markets are experiencing volatility due to escalating trade tensions between the US and China. The ongoing disagreements and negotiations in April have caused uncertainty not only in global finance but also in the production supply chains of the two major economies. The 90-day tariff truce has fueled speculation, increasing investor participation in financial markets and the US dollar.
However, in the short term, this could put additional pressure on the freight transport system between the two countries, worsening congestion on import and export routes as businesses rush to deliver goods before the next tariff deadline.
