Specifically, the retail price of Petrolimex gas cylinders (including VAT) in November 2025 in the Hanoi market is 403,100 VND/12 kg household cylinder; 1,612,300 VND/48 kg industrial cylinder, respectively decreasing by 6,500 VND/12 kg cylinder and 25,900 VND/48 kg cylinder (including VAT).

A representative of Petrolimex Gas Corporation said that domestic gas prices will continue to decrease from tomorrow, November 1, because the average world gas price contract for November is at 467.5 USD/ton, down 17.5 USD/ton compared to October, so Petrolimex Gas Corporation will adjust the reduction accordingly.

Thus, since the beginning of the year, gas prices have increased once, decreased seven times and remained unchanged three times.

World gas prices are calculated based on the CP gas reference price (Contract Price), announced by major suppliers such as Saudi Aramco to set LPG prices on the international market. World CP gas prices are usually announced at the end of the month and applied from the beginning of the following month.

Gas prices in Vietnam currently still depend on the world's imported gas prices because Vietnam has not yet met its domestic consumption output. Accordingly, fluctuations in gas prices in Vietnam depend on many factors such as: USD/VND exchange rate, gas transportation fees, business output; fluctuations in supply and demand, import tax policies, value added tax, etc.

In the world market, as of 7:20 p.m. on October 31 (Vietnam time), the price of LNG natural gas in the US market was trading at 4.1 USD/mmBTU, up 3.6% compared to the previous price.

Notably, the price of 467.5 USD/ton in November 2025 is significantly lower than that in November 2024 (632.5 USD/ton) – a decrease of 165 USD/ton. This is a huge difference, reflecting the sustainable downward trend of the global gas market in 2025.
