Gas price increased from 4,000 to 5,000 VND/cylinder

From November 1, domestic retail gas prices increased by VND4,000 to VND5,000 per 12kg cylinder. This is the fourth consecutive time that domestic gas prices have increased.

Accordingly, the current retail price of Petrolimex gas cylinders (excluding VAT) in Khanh Hoa market is 393,600 VND/12kg cylinder; 1,536,000 VND/48kg industrial cylinder. Meanwhile, City Petro brand is 468,000 VND/12kg cylinder (including VAT); Saigon Petro is 430,500 VND/12kg cylinder (including VAT).

Gas prices increase for the fourth consecutive time

According to gas businesses, the reason for the increase in domestic retail gas prices in November is due to the increase in world gas prices compared to October. In addition, fluctuations in the USD/VND exchange rate also caused the price of imported gas to Vietnam to increase. Therefore, domestic gas businesses also adjusted their prices accordingly. Currently, domestic gas supply can only proactively meet about 60% of consumption. Therefore, domestic gas retail prices are controlled and affected by world gas prices.

Thus, since the beginning of the year, domestic gas prices have decreased 5 times with a total decrease of 158,000 VND/12kg cylinder; increased 6 times with a total increase of 148,000 VND/12kg cylinder.
