What is bonus miles extension?

Upon receiving notification that bonus miles are about to expire, Golden Lotus members can renew bonus miles to increase the time of using miles. Dear members, please note:

• Bonus miles extension must be done within 06 months before the expiration date. In case the expiration date has passed and the member needs to extend the usage period, please restore the bonus miles;
• Renewed miles are valid for 12 months from the date of initial expiry. If the renewed miles are the sum of multiple different expiry packages, the 12-month validity period will apply to each package;
• Renewal bonus miles have no card ranking value;
• Renewal bonus miles are not refundable under any circumstances.

Bonus miles renewal fee

Bonus miles are extended in packages with a value of 500 miles/package:

• Price in Vietnam (excluding VAT): 100,000 VND/500 miles
• Overseas price: $5/500 miles

Instructions for extending bonus miles

There are 3 ways to extend bonus miles: Online on Vietnam Airlines website, online on Vietnam Airlines app and directly at branches.

Extend bonus miles on Vietnam Airlines website

Step 1: Access the Golden Lotus account on the website vietnamairlines.com in the top toolbar on the right hand side.

Step 2: After successfully logging in, go to “Buy/Transfer miles”.

Step 3: In the “Buy and transfer miles” window, select “Renew bonus miles”.

Step 4: At the “Extend miles” window:

• The default system displays the smallest package of 500 miles, press “+” or “-” to adjust the number of bonus miles;
• Check unit price, apply promotion code (if any), check total amount and total amount to be paid;
• Read the terms and check the box “I agree to the Terms and Conditions”;
• Continue to choose the appropriate payment method and proceed to payment.

Step 5: After completing the payment, confirmation information will be sent to the registered email address. If you do not receive an email within 01 hour after successful payment, please contact the Golden Lotus support department via the following channels:

Extend bonus miles on Vietnam Airlines app

Step 1: Access your Golden Lotus account on the Vietnam Airlines app at “Login” on the top right, or “Lotusmiles” on the toolbar below.

Step 2: After successfully logging in, scroll down to the “Buy/Transfer miles” section and click “Renew bonus miles”. The system will display the registered email, members check the information, edit if necessary and then select “Continue”.

Step 3: At the “Renew bonus miles” window:

• The default system displays the smallest package of 500 miles, press “+” or “-” to adjust the number of bonus miles;
• Check unit price, amount and total amount to be paid;
• Read the terms and conditions, then select “I agree” and proceed to checkout.

Step 4: Choose the appropriate payment method and proceed to payment.

Step 5: After completing the payment, confirmation information will be sent to the registered email address. If you do not receive an email within 01 hour after successful payment, please contact the Golden Lotus support department via the following channels:

Step 1: Fill in the Miles Extension Request form.

Step 2: Submit the completed application form and payment at Vietnam Airlines branches.
