Pig price today July 27: Slight decrease in some localities

On the morning of July 27, the live hog market recorded a slight decrease in some localities in the three regions. Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho and Hai Phong were the areas with the most obvious price fluctuations, while most of the remaining provinces kept prices stable compared to the previous session.

In the North, the market is generally stable. Except for Hai Phong, which decreased by 1,000 VND to 61,000 VND/kg, other localities such as Hanoi , Hung Yen, Bac Ninh, Thai Nguyen, Quang Ninh, Tuyen Quang and Lao Cai all maintained common prices from 60,000 - 62,000 VND/kg.

Hanoi and Hung Yen currently hold the highest price in the region at 62,000 VND/kg. Meanwhile, the lowest price in the North belongs to Lai Chau, Dien Bien , Son La and Ha Tinh - fluctuating around 60,000 VND/kg.

In the Central Highlands region, the price of live pigs did not change much. Nghe An was the only locality to slightly decrease by VND1,000 to VND60,000/kg.

Other provinces such as Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue, Quang Ngai, Khanh Hoa, Dak Lak and Lam Dong continued to be stable at around 60,000 - 63,000 VND/kg. Gia Lai is still the locality with the lowest price in the country, remaining at 59,000 VND/kg as in previous days.

Meanwhile, Ca Mau continues to maintain its leading position with the highest price in the country - 65,000 VND/kg. Tay Ninh maintains the price at 64,000 VND/kg, while Dong Nai, Dong Thap, An Giang and Lam Dong commonly have the price at 63,000 VND/kg. Vinh Long remains stable at 62,000 VND/kg.

An overview of the live hog market on July 27 showed a price range of VND59,000 - 65,000/kg. The price difference between regions reflects the differentiation of supply and demand. While some localities still maintain high prices thanks to stable output, many other areas - especially large cities - are under pressure from slow consumption and unsold inventories.

In the coming days, live hog prices are forecast to continue to fluctuate slightly, moving sideways or decreasing in some areas with large inventories. However, consumer demand is expected to improve in early August, helping the market gradually stabilize.

Pork price today

According to the latest survey on winmart.vn, the price of Meat Deli chilled pork remains stable, sold at prices ranging from 119,922 - 163,122 VND/kg and discounted 20% according to the preferential program for WinMart members.

Accordingly, ground pork is currently selling at the lowest price, listed at 119,922 VND/kg. Slightly higher are lean pork leg and lean pork shoulder, priced at 122,320 VND/kg and 126,320 VND/kg, respectively.

At Ha Hien Fresh Food Company, pork prices remained stable this morning. Currently, pork products are sold at prices ranging from 89,000 - 190,000 VND/kg.

Of these, pork fat has the lowest price among the surveyed products, listed at VND89,000/kg. Next is lean pork leg, which is being sold at VND126,000/kg. Slightly higher are pork ribs and lean pork shoulder, with respective selling prices of VND134,000/kg and VND136,000/kg.
