Pig price on October 21, 2024: Price decrease at the beginning of the week

DNVN - On October 21, 2024, the price of live pigs continued to decrease nationwide. According to a survey, the price of live pigs currently fluctuates from 61,000 - 64,000 VND/kg.

Northern pig price

In the morning trading session on October 21, the Northern region recorded a decrease of 1,000 VND/kg in Thai Binh and Nam Dinh.

This means that the price of live pigs in this area can no longer maintain the 65,000 VND/kg mark, currently the whole region is trading at 64,000 VND/kg.

Pig price in Central Highlands

In the Central and Central Highlands regions, pig prices decreased slightly in Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh and Khanh Hoa .

Binh Dinh and Khanh Hoa provinces both dropped to 61,000 VND/kg, equal to Dak Lak , which is also the lowest price nationwide. The remaining provinces in the region buy live pigs from 62,000 - 64,000 VND/kg.

Southern pig price

The Southern region also witnessed a decrease in live pig prices, ranging from 62,000 - 64,000 VND/kg.

Specifically, the provinces of Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Tay Ninh and Ba Ria - Vung Tau all reduced the price by VND1,000/kg, down to VND64,000/kg. Similarly, traders in Long An and Ho Chi Minh City purchased live pigs at VND63,000/kg.

Experts believe that the decline in live pig prices may have slowed down, and prices are likely to remain stable in the coming time, depending on the balance between supply and demand in the market.
